On January 26, the professional holiday of all customs workers is celebrated all over the world – International Customs Day.
The history of the emergence of the international customs organization and professional holiday goes back more than 70 years. Thus, in November 1952, the Convention on the Establishment of the Customs Cooperation Council came into force, and on January 26, 1953, the first session of the Customs Cooperation Council took place in Brussels, which in 1994 received its current name – the World Customs Organization (WCO) . January 26 was chosen as a professional holiday in 1983 and became annual.
The Republic of Moldova joined the WCO on October 28, 1994. That is, very soon we will be able to celebrate the 30th anniversary of membership!
Today, the organization includes 185 member states, which manage 98% of all international trade. WCO Secretary General Jan Saunders has declared 2024 a year of focused engagement with traditional and new partners.
Gradalogistic S.R.L. also invites all participants in foreign economic activity to cooperate, offering comprehensive transport and logistics services adapted to the individual needs and objectives of each client.
